About Our Surf Lessons

Our surf lessons take you to Noosa’s hidden surfing gem, Double Island Point. Double Island Point is located just north of Noosa, and is only accessible by 4WD from Noosa North Shore, along Teewah Beach. This breathtaking location is known for its super long and fun waves that will make your surf progression much faster and more rewarding. It’s not unusual to see complete beginners ride 100m+ waves on their first lesson!

Join this unique National Park surf adventure and visit a new hidden place you would not be able to visit otherwise! Because this location is not easy to visit, the crowds are much smaller compared to Noosa, and because there is less crowd, there is only more wildlife! Often we bump into local dolphins, migrating sea birds, turtles, humpback whales, rays and many more sea wildlife.

Our surf instructors are a lot of fun, very experienced, fully qualified and they stand with you in waist deep tropical water to push you onto the easy beginner waves. Each surf lesson starts with some safety instructions on the beach, after which we’ll be hitting the warm tropical water. Don’t worry if you’ve never surfed before. Most of the surfers joining us are complete beginners, and fall in love with the beauty of the sport. Because our surf groups are generally really small, you’ll get a lot of one-on-one attention from our friendly surf guides. They will give you individual guidance and advice to get you up and surfing as soon as possible. We guarantee that you will stand up in your first surf lesson!

Do you already have some surfing experience? Not a problem! We also offer intermediate classes, and we have a large range of various sizes soft boards and hard board to give you the perfect board to suit your level of surfing. Our accredited surf instructors will help you progress further with your surfing and show you all the techniques you need, from learning how to turn, to learning how to nose ride a longboard.

Because our surf lesson location is very unique! Known for Australia’s longest beginner waves, uncrowded, crystal clear warm water, one-on-one guidance from our surf guides, 4WD adventure included, abundance of wildlife… We could continue, do you need more reasons?

Bring whatever you’d usually bring to the beach, for example, sun screen, water, snacks, swim wear, change of clothes, towel, camera, etc. Please remember: When we leave Double Island Point, we only leave our footprints being! All food, littler and other waste should be taken home with you and not left behind in the National Park.

Pick up times vary and depend on the ocean tides, because Double Island Point is only accessible around low tide. Please contact us for the specific departure times. Each tour takes around 5-6 hour, from pick up to drop off.

Because of the unique experience and remote location, our surf tours are slightly more expensive than your usual surf lesson in Noosa. But definitely worth your money! It’s a day tour, not just a lesson. Our surf tours cost $120 per person for a 5-6 hour day trip.

Our surf tours depart Noosa from 3 different pick up point as mentioned below. Please make sure you are at the pick up point 15 minutes before departure to not hold up the tour.

NOOSA HEADS: Pick up at The J Noosa (Theatre venue), 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads. At the parking behind The J Noosa is plenty of free all day parking. This is your best option if you are traveling from outside Noosa to join our tour.

NOOSA HEADS: Bus Station, Noosa Heads. Wait at the Bus Station of Noosa Heads, on the corner of Noosa Parade & Noosa Drive. This pick up point is very close to Hasting Street. Please note that parking can be difficult and there are parking restrictions of 2-4 hours.
